Being A Mile Away

Being a mile away
I feel like if I was always a mile away from everyone. Ifeel like if I was just standing still while everyone go off in their own ways they have chosen. I try to catch up but it seems it isn’t enough and never closer. I try to call out, telling them to come back, to help me. But it doesn’t seem they hear me. I can see them but they don’t see me. I’m feeling like everything was a waste. All that determination, all that planning, have all just been a waste. But I can’t think that if I am ever going catch up with everyone. I have endured events that other hasn’t and gone so far. I can’t stop.. I must go distance even though the world has never been on my side. I’ll find my way through this cave that we call life and in the end, I’ll end where everyone else has.

Wow! Thomas! What a powerful and well penned write! You are trying to catch up with everybody and I am trying to walk away from everybody. (A Dare Escape) It is not easy here in New York City, since we are always rushing, late and in the same place. New York State of Mind! This brilliant outburst of your heart and mind filtered through this thought provoking write clearly shows your poetic talent! 10+++ Keep it up! God Bless You! Love and Peace for always!
