days seem longer to you than they are

you can't explain this to your friends

when you mention you haven't seen them


for centuries

the blush roses are new

the stars hidden


on the other side of the building

maybe the clocks will be backwash

then when you wake up


you won't feel sick anymore

you went to sleep and dreamed

that the sky so full of pinwheels


was lifted off frail shoulders

by the angels.
