Because I Am Blunt Poem by Alex Adeoye

Because I Am Blunt

I may not be human being
I think they might be right
If yes, we should be agreeing
I am different down right

In their moment of joy and laughter
My sight causes headache and discomfort
I'm a demon bad to allow nearer
Then they dance around my card like flirt

I may not be human being
I think they might be right
They killed me, barking
Manifesting joy and delight

They waited to see me unburied
Scaring away the roaming dogs away off
When my mother heard the death of her son unburied
She busted into laughter, I birth him, cool off!

I may not be human being
I think they might be right
The following day, they see me advancing
They were like losing a life gripping

In cold bewilderment, my head dropped into my palms
As my elbow helplessly planted in my laps
Like monkey under a road side cider calm
My eyes lid couldnt be a man as the tears gulch out her like tap.
