Because Poem by Siyabonga A Nxumalo

Because

Rating: 4.0

Because you’re a warm woman,
Because you can sit and watch a child
Doing something like drawing in the mud,
And the corners of your mouth wrinkle-up
And a man can see that what you’re looking
At makes you happy.

Because your smile is authentic and majestic
like a black eagle soaring amidst clouds.

Because your gaze is pure like African
Waterfalls and dams.

Because your mouth never curse…

Because your hands are nice and clean when
You put cooked meal down in front of a man,
And your face is happy while he eats it.
And for that my babe,
You’re a woman.
My woman.
