Beast Of Burden Poem by Martins Akhoeneto

Beast Of Burden

Fast-footed beasts, gentle creature
How strong and deep-planted?
Gentle, a loyalist for the future
An apprentice of fair traits, trusted
And not a slave of equanimity
Even on arid lands of still humidity
You glide in the frosty desert cold
Dashing beyond running trees.
