Be Bold Poem by Michael John Cook

Be Bold

A false hope created by lack of confidence
Would it be so bad to be honest
Wasting time weighing up pro's and con's
Missing a chance to be bold
What if I don't hear what I hope to hear
Is there no way to move on
Will I ruin it all for a dream I should chase
Is there anything more important
Could it all be out of my grasp
Do I even deserve it
Are these questions truly mine to answer
Or does my fate lie in another's hand
Is it brave or is it truly just stupid
Does stupid ever come out on top
Do I really already know how it will play out
Is that even possible to know
It can't be the be all and end all
Yet it is all I have on my mind
The answers will come eventually
I'll have it all but all in good time
