Be Animal Poem by Taher Shemaly

Be Animal

Just imagine...

Just imagine,
endless green,
free with no care.
No faith, no creed,
no people disagree,
or no care to wear?

Or just imagine,
free food, no worries,
for money, for a home.
Plain like innocents,
with dreams so shallow,
around the world we roam.

Let's be animals
life is so easy,
no smokes, no fire,
no wars to hire.
Let's be animals,
as much as lazy,
no worries for tomorrow,
just happiness no sorrow.
Let's be animals.

I wish to be a dog,
loyal and a friend to be,
never to stab your back.
Or a cat you wanna be,
cute, playful, and such,
even with its attack.

Some of us as well,
will be the horses,
free to the wind they go.
Upon the meadows,
let's begin the freedom,
away from worries, and go.

Let's be animals
life is so easy,
no smokes, no fire,
no wars to hire.
Let's be animals,
as much as lazy,
no worries for tomorrow,
just happiness no sorrow.
Let's be animals.
