Barbed Iron Wires Poem by Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

Barbed Iron Wires

Barbed iron wires
Fences surround
High brick walls
There comes in
No sound
And I lie within
My little nest,
On ground.

No one can see
These boundaries
Are for me
An imaginary world
I am safe and unbound.

There I do have
My piece of blue sky
Sunlit are dreams
And hope never dies.

Life will go on
Tides will be strong
In oceans and seas
My raft will sail free

But,

In winds
From the plains
My songs
Will remain
Those words
Will resound
And 'you'
They will hound
For they were for yea
Now heartless, enemy
