Bad Memories Poem by Speedy Hartman

Bad Memories

By; John “ Speedy “ Hartman

I’m kept in this place
in the back of his mind.
It’s dark and moldy
and light never shines.

The stuff he keeps there
is for no one to see.
Where even the bravest
have been known to flee…..

It’s memories collected
from a lifetime of pain.
Buried so deep
that it drives him insane.

He did it all to myself
he has no one to blame.
He’ll learn to keep quite
he’ll live with the shame

This room is so small
and it’s covered with pads.
I wish I could scream
but they gave me this gag.

This jacket’s to long
and the straps are to tight.
I’m buried back here
to be kept out of sight

I’m never let loose
i’m never set free.
You forever live in the dark,
if you’re a bad memory…..
