  Baby Girl

Little girl,
Why oh why do you cry?
Do you know that your breaking my heart?
Why don't you smile,
For just awhile,
You really do tear me apart.

Oh precious girl,
Your cheeks are flushed,
And tears now run down your face,
I wish to see that smile I love,
That no one could ever replace.

Oh baby girl,
So sweet,
So frail,
I'll hold you until the tears stop,
I love you so,
And I know you know,
So stop crying, let not another tear drop.

Oh sweet baby,
How you are hurting me,
I just wish to see you smile,
You’ve saved me with just that thing,
So smile for just awhile.

Oh lovely girl,
So beautiful,
You brighten my days always,
I wish to do the same for you,
So stop those impertinent tears.

Oh love,
My sweet,
I have watched you weep,
For long enough, this is true,
But I love you so,
As you now know,
So I'll let you cry all you need to.

Oh little girl,
Why oh why do you cry?
Do you know you are breaking my heart?
I'll comfort you,
Until your through,
And then you and I will both smile.

COMMENTS FORM ME, THE AUTHOR OF THIS POEM:
This poem is about my little sister. When she cries, it hurts me. She is 6 and so whenever she is sad, I comfort her. She saved my life by living and smiling. When I was going to commit suicide, she is the one thing that stopped me. I owe my life to her. She was the reason I went to the hospital instead of killing myself. I love to see her smile. Before, when I was depressed, she would smile at me just to make me feel better. Now that I am better, I am able to comfort her. Our roles were reversed when i was depressed. She was comforting me, when it should have been the other way around. Now I can comfort her. I love her. I wrote this in the hospital, when they wouldn't let me see her. I wanted to see her so bad. I'm glad to be alive, for myself and her.
