Awakening Poem by Dani Miller

Awakening

Awaken from your current state,
Slip out of your sin for a while.
Come and listen to what I have to say;
This may change your entire life.

I look around me and I am amazed;
These people actually do not care!
They dont care what is around them.
Its more than what I'm used to: blank stares.

I'm used to traditional things:
Just clap your hands and sing.
But these people are freaking out!
Jumping three feet and releasing shouts.

Awaken from your current state,
Slip out of your sin for a while.
Come and listen to what I have to say;
This may change your entire life.

A sense of peace; a breath of new air.
My arms suspended and tears streaming down.
I plead and scream for my own language,
Now its me and you; no one else around.

I'm sick of traditional things.
Just clap my hands and sing.
I'm happier 'freaking out'
So I jump three feet and release my shout.

Awaken from your current state,
Slip out of your sin for a while.
Come and listen to what I have to say;
This has changed my entire life.

He filled me and my legs when limp.
Im falling.
I hear my sweet melody language.
He's calling.

I answer and do as I feel I should.
Everyone gets slain.
No one is leaving without him inside
NEVER THE SAME! ! ! !

Awakened out of our past state,
Walked away from sin; no longer liars.
Listened and accepted all that he said;
Burning inside forever our own fires.

So we'll jump three feet high
And scream until the building falls!
You will too when you feel your awakening.

This is more of a song...but yea you get it. Anyway, this was written about The Ramp. A very awesome youth conference that got me fired up for God...
