Avenue Road Rock Poem by Aldo Kraas

It is now 6: 30 pm in the evening
And it is almost night here at
Avenue Road
Where I walk
To get to the food bank
To pick up some food for an old sick lady
That is leaving in the old with me in the same floor
That I am
And at the same time I look up in the sky tonight
And I see the sunset
That is telling me that it is the end of another day
So far
But I still need to bless God
For giving me that beautiful spring night
