Autumn Heart Haven Poem by samuel faye

Autumn Heart Haven

Summer's sun has faded
to this subtle shade of gold
And Winter's chill
is creeping round the bend
Between these moments rests this time
that nestles to my soul
Infusing my heart with it's glow,
it's warmth, it's beauty

It's here I find my Haven
within the Autumn's charm
Where trees lay down a welcome mat
upon the forest floor
And harvest beams rain thru
these limbs once lush with green
Splattering mandarin patches
of light and warmth where they fall

You're welcome here
Please find a seat
Safe harbor waits you now
Climb up my trees
Rest weary soul
Sip deep this warming glow

Ramble down these trails
Leading to my heart
Find familiar solace here
Where leaves hold hopes
The breeze carries dreams
And all hearts gather near
