Aspirant Poem by Bharat Mehru

Aspirant

Sir,
I am no crazy
though I failed four times
But I am not a mad
These are all
false gossips about me
Please don't rebuke me
please don't push me
out of your office

I am an aspirant
who failed to achieve
My father desperately wanted
me to become a doctor
I was weak in
Physics and Chemistry
But he didn't come to
this reality
I'm neither a crazy nor mad
I pray-
Please don't rebuke me
Please don't push me
out of your office

I failed to carry those
heavy ambitions
I tried hard under the
drastic compulsions
I'm neither a crazy nor mad
Please don't rebuke me
Please don't push me
out of your office

Sir,
Let me fill the exam's form
For the last time
because I want to help
my rueful father
I'm neither a crazy- nor mad
Please don't rebuke me
Please don't push me
out of your office...!
