As You Become Me Poem by G J Salgado

As You Become Me

Rating: 5.0

Who is she that resides within the mirror
Who lurks inside, the dream or a nightmare
Is she you or is she me
Come close take a look and see
When you bring the thunder
I bring the rain
You feed me when I hunger
Whenever I go insane
You remember my name
Feel the music when my body moves
Bringing you within my voices muse
Singing the words that only I have written
You look like an angel that I have kept hidden
Between you and I there is a perfect symmetry
Against night and day we are shadows of our own mimicry
Inside of the moon looking toward the outside of the sun
Above the places that we once knew before we ever begun
Every time I look in the mirror it is your face within me that I always see
Whenever you see my reflection, I am looking back at you as you become me
