As Vast As The Universe Poem by Dr. Giti Tyagi

As Vast As The Universe

AS VAST AS THE UNIVERSE

An alien in a faraway land,
Achieved naught bliss though success abound,
Switching places frequent far and wide,
Identity lost as if freedom in exile!

Differences cultural societal innumerable,
Recollecting time spent, remembering days good old,
Across the boundaries thoughts flying past,
Taking back to the days happily spent!

The fragrance in the air with the soil mixed sweetness,
Reminding of the aroma while busy at play,
In the playful mud-filled jolly backyard,
Of my oft missed home sweet home!

Retreat no more, O fleeting mind,
Forward leap, the universe' vastness not conquered yet,
Proceed thyself to the unceasing expanse,
Halt not at the snags, brood not at the past!

When no longer one belongs,
To a specific particular place enclosed,
Then one is surely bound to become,
As vast as the extent of the expansive Universe!
