As The Walls Fall Poem by jessica roberts

As The Walls Fall

Rating: 4.0

i stood there as my walls of rock fell
these walls fell because i was sad and lonley
i built those walls cuz i wanted protection
they stayed up till he showed up again

he came into my life and walked right back out
he never stays for long
these walls always fall cuz i trust him again
he made me build my rock walls around me

as they fell i fell with them
my tears fell silently from my eyes
how can i possibly let him do this i ask
my walls fell and the dust cleared

i see nothing but darkness
no light shone this time
i sit in the middle of this mess
the rocks are small and big

all these rocks are for diffrent pains
small ones for small pains
the big ones are to hard to explain
there all on the floor around me

The metaphor of the rock walls as your pains is very advanced for such a young poet. great art.

Jessica, sometimes there are no walls strong enough to protect us from those who hold the keys to our heart. Good write! ! Brian
