As The Actress Poem by Rosalita Fern

As The Actress

Rating: 5.0

As the actress talks,
As she walks,
As gracefully takes the stage,
Shes says the words,
Which she has learnt.
Moved the moves she had too.
She yerns to play the lead.
But shes stands at the back, greatful for this role.
She wants to kiss the main man.
She aches to wear the main costume.
She cries each night,
Her only wish, that soon, just once
That stage she'd call hers.

A great poem about ambition, desire and a longing for something more. A neat poem that explains a universal theme in a unique way. A very accessible poem.10/10.

You have captured so well the yearning an actress has to play a leading role. An expression of creativity to be enjoyed by others. Lovely writing. Karin Anderson
