As Life And Soul Go Poem by Payyton Egerstaffer

As Life And Soul Go

When life leaves a body
With it goes the soul
Just the need to be free
The need to reach its goal
As life and soul go
The body lies still
Deflating, becoming a corpse
Nothing to enter or to fulfill
When the soul hits its destination
It is so content
But the body decays
For underground its time is spent
