As I Walked Poem by Tristan Maverick

As I Walked

I walk through the forest of those,
Those that have passed,
Passed from this life,
To the one of beauty.

I walk through the forest of those,
Those that have found,
Found the beauty within themselves,
And now guide others.

I walk through the forest of time.
Time lost and time found.
Found for those who are lost.
And lost to those who are found.

I walk through the forest of time.
Time gained and time away.
Away for those wishing it to be.
And gained for those who are close.

I walk amongst the trees.
Trees that mind.
Mind the ones that hope to find.
Find their existence.

I walk amongst the trees.
Trees that linger.
Linger upon the hope of passersby.
Upon their hope and love.

I walk along the stream,
Alive and writhing.
Creating its own path,
Past those that wish to block it.

I walk along the stream,
Calm and lucid.
Following to where it is destined,
Where ever fate shall lead it.

I walk beside the lake,
Magnificent and gleaming.
Past the lazy clouds,
Floating by.

I walk beside the lake,
Calm and alive.
Pulsing with the waves.
Those waves we create.

I walk upon the path.
The path created by those,
Those who have traveled before me,
To find themselves.

I walk upon the path,
Twisting and winding.
Trying to show me the world,
In all its glory.

I walk to the end,
The end of the path.
The sun blinding me to the end,
With its beautiful radiance.

I walk to the end,
The end of my journey, my adventure.
To the end of all things.

As I walked amid the warm of the Sun,
As I walked through the forest of the past,
As I walked amongst the trees of the wise,
As I walked along the stream of fate,
As I walked beside the lake of wonder,
As I walked upon the path of the traveled,
As I walk toward the end of all things

I finally see what it is I am supposed to have found.

You, in the glory of the Sun's radiance,
You, who are the Sun,
You, who are my Sun,
You are my Sun,
My love...
