As Good As

If I give the gun to the murderer,
I am as good as him.
If I throw lots of paper away,
I am as good as the tree cutter.
If I take stolen food,
I am as good as the thief.
If I record a fight,
I am as good as the fighters.
So why should I buy whale meat?
So why should I take from someone
a beautiful narwhal marble?
If I do that,
I am as good as all the ones above.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

Some people say that it is wrong to keep killing endangered animals like the blue whale, narwhal, elephants, etc. I think this is true, and for example: if we want whaling to stop, then we shouldn't buy whale meat :) I know not everyone will agree with me, but it is always nice to share with someone your beliefs :)

save earth and humanity never encourage the wrong never indulge..in fact knowingly or unknowingly we are supporting the evil deeds and putting ourselves in same place nice this kind of writing is indeed very fruitful thank a lot (Report) Reply

All your reasoning is valid. Boycotting parts of endangered species is a clear way to discourage the activity. Beautiful poem. (Report) Reply
