As A Sister Poem by Holly Jamestone

As A Sister

Just as a sister should
You I embrace
As I know your thoughts
From the look on your face

And I hear your pleas through
Your laughter, your tears
As we two have bonded
Through all of these years

Fly on my shoulder
When needing relief
Guardian angels
Escaping all grief

Friends, family intertwined
Life's breaks and bends
Confidantes, sisters
The best of all friends

Let me now help you
With grace to your feet
Knowing you'd give back when
I need retreat

For I hear your pleas through
Your laughter, your tears
As we two have bonded
Through all of these years

Just as a sister would
You I embrace
Here by your side
Through all you must face
