Array Of Seduction Poem by Reshad Scott

Array Of Seduction

Light shines on the darkest of peddles
carrying its envy
to the smallest of debts,
suppose how can one be so minor
and as a result
be so bright,

beauty can be so daunting
if we find it to be attractive,
as to say for a leaf
can burn with an unsettling touch, but
can not stray away
from the sun's
seductive array of light,

to feel something that isn't yours,
to give everything you have
just for one simple embrace
that is all that matters.
"I" the leaf, and "You" the sun
there is nothing else more than life
that I will ever withtake,

the constant drain
from your touch,
the wrinkled body
of my stem
to your submissive glare
of light,
I will forever
be seeking your arms
as I slowly shrivel away
beneath your enduring beam of light
