Arms Lengthy Poem by keith brown

Arms Lengthy

People just fascinate me -
The things they do, the things I see
The way they walk, the way they stand
The way they nod, or wave a hand
Yet!
The one thing I don't understand'
Rings a few alarms
Is just how short their memory and
just how short their arms!

Surely they must be more than a mere two feet?
When greeting friends and neighbours
On the corner of the street
It seems they swiftly succumb to temptations Muse
They've forget its isolation that gives
Coved nineteen the blues!
