Are We Worth It? (2) Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Are We Worth It? (2)

Does man deserve his time of day
The Light God sent to show The Way
Should Jesus dwell in hearts of stone
When taking score which seed we’ve sown

Who’ll bear the cross that Heaven gives
Reveal to others Jesus lives
Who’ll take His word and stand it well
Forsaking thus the gates of hell

Who takes delight in endless sky
Then bow their knee through faith on high
Seeing God’s Lamb as Lord and King
Who’ll give to Jesus everything

Who’ll repent the filth they’ve done
Believe in Jesus Christ God’s Son
Who'll consider His hands and feet
Then fear no more life's judgement seat

Who’ll embrace The Morning Dew
Each pregnant dawn birthing anew
Squirrel and fox cool mountain streams
Share rich regard to dreamer’s dreams

Who can compute life’s sweet delights
Cool summer breeze fresh winter nights
Raise up clean hands to God above
Thanking His Son for all His love

Who’ll give credence to Christ’s report
Who’ll drink The Drink that can’t be bought
Who'll now accept God’s Liquid Light
Stand then for Truth and fight the fight

Who’ll consider the crown of thorn
Hell’s painful nights, Heaven’s sweet dawn
Who’ll consider The Father’s grace
The day we’ll meet Him face to face…
