How come thoughts of you
Continue to fill my head
How come with each passing day
I recall all the things you’ve said?

I can’t escape the memories
That you and I both share
Could it be that deep inside
I still really care

I thought that I was over you
I thought we said goodbye
If it’s over then how come
When I think of you my heart sighs

I thought we use to be
Two lovers who had parted
But I can’t seem to put out
The fire in me you started

So if you’ll have me back
Can we give love another try
Who knows maybe this time
We won’t say goodbye
