Appreciate A Grape Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Appreciate A Grape

Quiet and unassumingly naive
growing in clusters… speechless
Nestled among soft velvet leaves
swelling with superb juicy sweetness

Stripped from your life providing vine
while in your glorious divine prime
to be lazily fermented into wine...
soon to warm hearts and slow time

Your transformation entices my nose
whether you be slightly amber and clear...
Dark ravenous red… or placid as a pale rose
Certainly you are more elegant than beer
