Anywhere, But With You Poem by Alexie Whitman

Anywhere, But With You

Rating: 4.0

I'd rather be anywhere but here with you
Though it'll leave me in a state of blue
But I need to do it for my own good
The moments we were together were the best times
And as I close my eyes I see us smile
Even in the death I would love you dearly
You might find my next step silly
But I need to leave you to love me
Though our time together was jolly good
And you will always stay inside my heart
I know it's crazy but I need you to forget me if you could
I looked for myself everywhere but I couldn't find me
Our difference of two days gave me the key to find me
So, now it's time for me to depart
But I'll always remember my good years
Even if the world tore apart
And our voice of laughter will always echo in my ears
It's all over but I am not sad
It happened that's why I'm glad!

Sometimes you have to choose the difficult path and leave some amazing people for your own good. It hurts in the beginning but soon you'll realize that it happened for the best!

Alexie, I read your poem 'Anywhere, But With You'. Aptly described the healing from the heartache. Your words flow with a nice poise. Once bitten, twice shy...the moral perhaps? QtR
