Ants Poem

The huge trunk was wet and mossy.
and I noticed a downward
marching of ants holding a white
dot in each one's mouth.
Usual collection expedition.
White dots shone as they crossed
in-between shafts of soft sun.
I was thrilled sensing how
am a part of this mighty universe
like these ants...
They flashed this awakening
- and I wrote some words.
Next day morning I noticed
an ant travelling on my arm.
'Hey...'
The ant stopped, lifted it's head
and looked up questioningly
' Um...I've written a poem about
you..will you listen if I read? '
The ant said something-so soft,
I intently listened
'Dam you, you write poems?
We believe in hard work you lazy!
Throw away your dam poem.'
That was unfair. For a moment
I was disheartened. Well, the
ant was not aware how
I was enlightened by them.
