Angels Prayer Poem by Tui Goodwin

Angels tonight hear me pray
That tonight you will hear my plea and let my daddy stay
I’m told soon you will take him from me
So tonight I pray so you will see

I need my Daddy still everyday
For him to help me in everyway
To hold me tight when the darkness bites
Smiling at me when I’m in his sights

To pick me up when I fall
Helping me chuck the dog the ball
Tickling Mummy and me
Angels please here this plea

As I sit and look towards the heaven
I hear the siren
I pray with my whole heart
Please don’t break it like glass
