Angels Cry Poem by Shiloh Thompson

Angels Cry

Her eyes whirl in hooded emotions,
Watching him walk away for the last time,
Knowing they will never speak again,
She said all she could, and failed.

He walked away, ignoring her pain,
Hood pulled over his face as not to watch,
As she slowly walked away from him,
Her words hovering broken between them.

A friendship is born every day,
But the angels cry when one dies,
And on this day, they sobbed in pain,
For one died, not to be rekindled.
