And I Too Once Was Young Poem by Raymond Farrell

And I Too Once Was Young

And I too once was young
At times, brash and opinionated
With answers on the tip of my tongue
But age, life, time and experience
Have taught lessons in need of learning
That words well seasoned with reason
Delivered thoughtfully can calm the yearning
To respond by reflex without reflection.
