An Escape Of A Lonely Child Poem by i am not crazy

An Escape Of A Lonely Child

Rating: 5.0

Walls are narrowing as I step forth
Delivered falseness in the conceit of truth
Never must I journey to what’s not merely worth
And may I pass by as a member of the youth

I enter this world where I am clueless within
And answers may rely deep under my skin
The breezy environs yet I lack air
A child like me who has a home called nowhere

I glance at a smile but I result to a tear
Alas, I am too naïve to face what I fear
This excess I talk to with embraced curiosity
And unwanted imaginations created with much anomaly

Looked as to a ghost but lies with identity
I linger to places where I lose my dignity
Fate is still and for me to befriend
But luck apart us into a lead to a dead end

I walk with wasted passion and hammered dreams
Incorrectness to scandal scattered it seems
I open my eyes to where darkness exists
Tolerable humans with close fists and slit wrists

So this is the world which a kid enjoys
Where guns and knives serve as my toys
Soldiers whose hearts are burdened be
The mirror of life which reflects unto me

I’ll mix my blood to what I shall not desire
A hungry soul whom I attire
I’ll walk a floor with slandered justice
With tiny hands abused for practice
And little legs with swollen knees
A state an infant will eternally reminisce
Cold stone grounds to never must I seize
A place where a child is found at peace

I feel the tears behind these lines and stanzas. A very poignant write. Take care. As always, Sandra
