An Artist's Mind Poem by Elizabeth Lindberg

An Artist's Mind

Rating: 5.0

Luscious swirls of orange and Red,
Oh the passion and emotion! !
sultry blues, that blend the edge,
indication of devotion?

The artist paints with such a flair!
her mind must be so deep!
tones of brilliance everywhere!
the pinks and yellows leap!

Those ghostly figures hover too,
a mystery in paint,
oh look I see some angel wings!
they fade off rather faint,

While studying this work with awe,
the artist came to chat,
most amazed by what I saw,
I had to tell her that,

I asked, what were you thinking?
what meaning is behind,
this breath-taking work of art?
so obviously fine,

she took the time to tell us rooks,
about this work she'd done,
she said she'd spilled a tray of paint,
and was only having fun!
