An Apology, Virtually Poem by Guy Northam

An Apology, Virtually

An old man in his swansong,
Safe behind his wall,

Wooed a girl too young for him
With brazenness and gall.

She was kind and gentle
And roses climbed her wall.

The heady scents of summer;
No harm was meant at all.
