An Angel Poem by Sunitria Couser

An Angel

Across the midnight sky
I see an angel fly
Up high he soared
Down below my heart roared
Not in anger
Not in fear
Just from pure joy
Of seeing him so near
What I would say
If only he was a whisper away
The words touched my lips
To call him closer to me
So that I could say
The world is mines to own no more
Take me away to a better home
To him take me I beg
So I can pled my case
So I can ask for forgiveness
And give him his due
His praise
