An Abstract's Enigmatic Ego Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

An Abstract's Enigmatic Ego

IAM
purified
of putrefied
purpose; luminous,
unloosed, escaped above
submission, criticized and then
murdered; the disappearing beloved
deaf, dumb, blind puffery within
the finery, of the divine…
And adequately misleading
those beheld to secret meanings
suffering within the lingering of
a species disappearing into the
dusts of all that is ethereal, in
a spume of harm and hate…
Damaged beyond justification
simply because it was necessary
and so easily accomplished…
Giant reds or dwarf browns
each of a power, glory and
purpose; burning in the
high-noon's skies, spewing
tongues of searing umber
stained energetic winds into
the wick, that is the perceived
flare, sent to ignite the pyre…
An exquisite thought indeed!
Do not forget to wave good-bye!
