Amphibian

An amphibian came a-hopping
So tiny, no bigger than a coin
I wonder where it came from
it could be from my pond.
I showed the picture to MK
He said that it's a toad
It could be looking for shelter
Or a brand new wet abode.
Baby toad stayed briefly
When Dee Dee came to see
It made a hurried getaway
Perhaps to climb a tree.
