America Poem by Jessica Gabanyic

America

America used to be proud,
But belittled by Her people
Poluted without a care in the world,
She has become a shell of what She used to be,

The fear of bombs,
The fear of Hijackers,
The fear of distrust and unjust lingers in the air,

We people used to be fearless,
Always fighting for something
Only for the right reason,
Speak now or don't speak at all,

America was beautiful,
And by God She was made to be his promise,
Buildings and rubble liter the ground,
People walk entitled by their property,
Amarica broken by the emptiness of the peoples hearts,
