Ambiguously Yours Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Ambiguously Yours

Confused! How long I walked in fear
Erring whilst plagued with doubt
How could it be, why are we here?
What is this life about?

Was Jesus real, is Christ above?
Are hell and Heaven true
Where can on earth we find true love?
Where are the facts to view?

Down many ways through countless doors
I sought to truth the key
Still dubiously, ambiguously Yours
Darkness refused to flee

Until my spirit heard Your name
My soul witnessed The Light
Bearing my sin taking my shame
Healing my doubtful sight

Thrusting aside demonic wares
The veils of foul deceit
To seek The One who loves and cares
I sat at Jesus’ feet

I saw the tree that bore my Lord
The crown man gave my King
I saw no more could I afford
Satanic songs to sing

I saw the devil in my life
His ways I’d walked since birth
Each foolish evil cause of strife
Enveloping the earth

So many tears since then I’ve cried
Knowing this world of pain
Until by faith one’s sanctified
Their Saviour died in vain……
