Always Stand Up For Yourself For The Good Of Your Health Poem by Andrew Matthews

Always Stand Up For Yourself For The Good Of Your Health

Put a man down
He'll give just as good back
And when he's stabbed
He never sees a blade
Then he wears a frown
Which wears and weighs him down..down...down.

Refrain from violence and
They don't respect him
Don't understand...won't
Tis' a sign of intellect
Strength not weakness
But he'll pay the price as his frown weighs him down
And his head follows then his mind.

And when he doesn't look at you in the eye
They scornfully ask why....He has something to hide!
You stole the confidence and self-esteem
The belief he might have had to rise to be completely made
That he might have somehow eventually made the grade.
And now that he's not the happy person he once was...his frown
becomes very heavy and sucks his hope and desire to live towards a singularity that is his death.
