Come, let the Cross of Jesus shine
In this year of our Lord, two thousand and nine.
There is more to the Cross than we'll ever know,
The wonder of wonders from long long ago.
We must keep its glory ever alive,
Seeing the Cross as God's 'basic' archive.
Jesus is yours and mine. He died by design
to make the whole world virtuously divine...
So in this new year and far far beyond
Come, let the Cross of Jesus shine.
