Always Poem by Ena Di Rocco

Always

A day without you is like a year without rain,
A year without you is like a killing pain.
I wonder if you feel it when I think about you,
Because I know you think about me too.

My love for you is like a solid rock,
I see the seconds pass on the clock.
Waiting for the moment we can speak,
Every time I see your name I squeak.

Sometimes I suffer,
But the hurt is making me tougher.
I wish we had more time to spend,
Because I love being your friend.

I know it hurts you when I cry,
When my eyes don’t stay dry.
They will get puffy and red,
And they look like they have bled.

Sometimes I miss you so much,
That I imagine feeling your touch.
I cry myself to sleep,
But I will never forget you are mine to keep.

Yes, it is hard,
And I might get scarred.
But I will always love my dork,
And I know he will always love his sweetie.
