Alone In Paris Poem by Jan Oskar Hansen

Alone In Paris

All alone in Paris

I fell into the Seine
Called for help in English
Was ignored.
By accident more than luck
I got ashore.
A man sat fishing
He was English,
"Why didn't you call for help France? "
I'm a tourist
"Everyone should speak French I'm
AFrancophile. He said
And refused to answer your plea for help.
