A bird with broken wings
Couldn't take to the sky
Someone's greed robbed it of its
Capacity to fly
Gloriously soaring in the heavens
Oh..how It came crashing to the earth!

Through its clouded dreams
It kept on saying
O servant of Allah
Keep smiling
What you have lost today
Will again be yours...

Only by losing its wings
It learnt to fly...

'Please, carry along the burden of your sorrows
Your tears would help you in the long run...'

When it had lost its wings
