All That Jazz Poem by Jon Edward Walker

All That Jazz

Rating: 5.0

I still taste wine on my breath
it’s sour now
not the sweet bliss
it was yesterday
I saw old friends and
met new ones
the one girl I was interested in
of course
had a man
whom she wasn’t sure
she liked
enough to stick around
here
since she'd graduated.
she had beautiful eyes
and a bachelors in business

She didn’t know what to do with either of them

That last line just clinched it. And, it's subtle, too. A great one, definitely.
