All That I Can Poem by Mien Bless

All That I Can

Chaos and dismay, was all around me
Life was choking, the breath out of me
I used to scream, out aloud
No one would care, to hear me out

And then you came, and turned my world around
Like an angel, sent from up above
You spread your arms, and showered your love
Gave me inspiration, when I was down

I shared with you, my sorrows and pain
You washed it all away, just like the rain
You instilled faith, and showed me the way
All I do now, is strive to be better all day

We spent time together, all day and night
You shared your sorrows, and your plight
Now here is stand, with your tears in my hand
Praying to God, I can lend a helping hand

I hold you tight, in my arms
Shielding you from, all the harm
Protect and safe, you tell me you feel
I swear to protect you, with a never ending zeal

I am hearing what you say, and all that you don't
All the unsaid words, pile on and on
Still remember the messages, left in the numbers
Even see it, in the deepest of slumbers

The key is wound, and the play is in motion
We played out part, in this commotion
We stand apart, due to devotion
Not to be judged, as a silly notion

The time has come, it is here
I am loosing all, that I hold dear
Chaos and dismay, is building up in me
This time around, I choose to let it free

And now when all is, said and done
I lie on my bed, feeling undone
I close my eyes, and drift off to sleep
Dreaming of what, we could have been

I hope you know, what I fail to show
Realize its love, not some passing flow
Everything you have ever, said or done
Make me want to be, all that I can
