Alive In The Storm Poem by William K Duncan

Alive In The Storm

Rating: 4.0

Alone in the storm is where I roam
Let the wind carry me home
Let reality hold true
Let the rain soak me through

Let echoes of thunder surround me
Let visions of lightning blind me

Let waves strike me as a shore
Let the storm shake me to my core

Let darkness hold the street
Let the wind blow me off my feet

Let the streets be deserted with fear
Let lightning ever draw near

Let the sky scream out in pain
Let the earth call out my name
Let the sky throw down it's flame
May we never be the same

Let it take me...
Take me whole
Let it wash away my soul

Till I submit and admit...
I'm alive.
