Alien Poem by Binoy Barman

Alien

An alien dropped from the sky
And faintly said, goof goof goof
To witness what it exactly was
I immediately rushed to the roof.

It must be the weirdest object
Any human can ever imagine
It looked like a deformed egg
Covered with thousands of pin.

Where were its different limbs
Head, hand, belly, leg or tail?
It was difficult to understand
Whether it was happy or pale.

I said to him in word and sign
Come with me into my room
But it did not move in the least
Only made, goom goom goom.

I stepped closer to the thing
To touch and give a soft sway
At once opening radar wings
Towards the sky it flew away.
