Alice

Rating: 5.0

Talking head like lyrics
That are in a song
Be-bopping to this
Simple song talk
Not to typical
Just analytical
Poetry, words
Twos, even threes
Refine the refrain
The refrain
Sets your heart free
Just totally free
Listen to the sound
In your ear
Down your head
A chaotic birth
Of imagined creation
Next to this great man
Oh man
What ever happened?
To two by two
By three
That was so easy
To rhyme
In some semblance
Of time
Just remembering around
One new feeling
Speed strumming
A boys aching heart
Still beating
Still aching
Looking for a way out
Speaking out
Of track two
Still strumming fast
Faster than these fingers
And just beginning
To take a wasted minute
To a unknown remembering
Of love wasted away
Still strumming
From what we remember
As a truth
Dancing extremely hard
With love taken away
See
What
I
Want
You
To
Hear
In this mass verse
Coming unremembered
And unrehearsed
Shaking a bad hand
Attached to a mirror
Tied to an illusion
With so many quick years
Coming to a fourth coming
That began with
Twos and threes
We could remember
Together
The use of these words
Used from different perspectives
The words
That keep taking
That love away
Day by day
Night by night
Tipping generously
For external sight
Of verses unfettered
By Frost's stuffy standards
Pining over you
On some high way
Over there
And easy
To understand
